2. The Dandruff Eliminator –and face scrub!

You’ll need:
Sugar, Tea Tree Oil, Peppermint Oil, Cocunut Oil

One of the reasons we get dandruff is indoor heating as opposed to the cooler outdoor temperatures. This heat may cause your skin on your scalp to dry out and form flakes. With these 4 simple ingredients, you can get rid of all that dandruff. Better yet, you can also use it as a face scrub!

Ingredients:

  • 4 TSP of raw sugar

  • 2 drops of tea tree oil

  • 5 drops of peppermint oil

  • 2 TBS of raw unrefined coconut oil

Procedure:
Mix all the items listed together in a little bowl.

Your hair should be fresh out of the shower; clean and damp for this procedure. Divide your hair into parts of about 5 cm width.

With the aid of a hair brush or your fingers, place some of the mix directly in each section and rub it in for at least 2 minutes till it is equally spread all over your hair. Put up your hair and resume your shower. You can rinse the hair after about 10 minutes.

It is important to know the role played by each of these ingredients. The glycolic acid is gotten from sugar and this helps disintegrates the dead cells that form flakes.

In addition, peppermint oil is known to increase blood flow to the scalp and tea tree oil has compounds that kills off bacteria and fungi. Finally, coconut oil has lots of fatty acid and helps to prevent inflammation.
