It may be because they came on the scene with a pleated plaid skirt, which reminded me of my years of torment in Catholic schools but I am obsessed with Chopova Lowena. Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena are graduates of the MA program at Central Saint Martins. Laura from London and Emma from Bulgaria by way of New Jersey. Based in London, recycling folkloric fabrics, deadstock materials and utilising traditional craft techniques.

This season they shot their friends as models out and about in London looking like proper punkish fairy dolls. Which might not be a “thing” yet, but I am quite sure Emma and Laura will make it one.
