Everything You Need to Know About Stella McCartney’s “Animals First” Autumn 2021 Campaign

The queen of sustainable fashion has done it once again: Stella McCartney continues to set a good example for the rest of the fashion industry.

Stella McCartney announced her Autumn 2021 ‘Our Time Has Come’ campaign back in June, but as summer comes to an end, we at No Kill want all of readers to explore and admire the amazing campaign (and clothes)!

If you are familiar with the McCartney A to Z Manifesto created during the pandemic lockdown, you know that ‘J is for Joy’. That particular letter is the inspiration behind Stella McCartney’s Autumn campaign.

The ‘J for Joy’ Autumn 2021 campaign celebrates all animals as our equals.

The idea behind the campaign is captured as a mockumentary, filmed by Mert & Marcus, and narrated by David Walliams. The mockumentary resembles Stella McCartney’s Autumn 2021 collection because of its vibrant colors, amazing energy, and genuine optimism! Created to support the Humane Society International and its petition for a fur-free society, the film features a wide variety of animals, real and imaginary, enjoying their own lives in London, UK.

Every year the fashion industry is responsible for the deaths of over 100 million animals, all so consumers can sport their pelts. Stella McCartney is asking all consumers, on a global scale, to become changemakers and create a fur-free society, which can be advanced by signing the Humane Society International’s life-changing petition.

McCartney has prevented the deaths of about 400 thousand cows having sold over 1 million of the iconic (vegan-leather) Falabella bags!

The Autumn 2021 collection is now available in stores and online and is created with 80% eco-friendly material, which is McCartney’s most sustainable collection ever! In her own words words:

it is an optimistic, energetic, colorful vision elevating performance wear archetypes and refocusing them with softness, sensuality, and fluidity.

Stella McCartney’s Autumn 2021 campaign and collection encourages the global community to consider the impact their consumerism has not only on planet Earth, but on animals.

Our time has come, so sign the petition, reconsider buying garments made of pelt and go check out Stella McCartney’s new autumn campaign and collection and let us know your thoughts!
