Style Advice:
Challenge yourself out of your comfort zone; if you pair an outfit and feel it’s “too much,” that’s when you’ll know it’s the perfect one. Never overthink your clothing choices.
Style IconS
My style icons are ASAP Rocky and Wuzg00d. They definitely challenge their pairing and color-tones which I’m always inspired by.
Why I picked this blazer to style
I’m typically not a big fan of blazers, but when I saw this one at a thrift store, I fell in love with everything about it, especially the fit. The only reason I wasn’t planning on buying it was because I wasn’t sure what I’d match it with; I bought it as a challenge. I didn’t wear it for months since I wasn’t sure about it, but here I am attempting to style it in three different ways. I feel like I’ve developed in my style since I had no clue how to style it a few months ago, but today I couldn’t stop thinking of new ways to wear it. I love a good fashion challenge. My style secret is layering or accessorizing; I believe it can make or break an outfit. A plain white tank top may be worn for a variety of events depending on how you layer it or accessorize it. When you know the perfect balance it always works out.
Look One
Out for Coffee
I wanted to pair warm tones with one remarkable hue, which is blue. The remainder of my outfit coordinates with the colors in my blazer’s design, including my green favorite loafers. This is what I wore to the coffee shop.
Look Two
Best for Brunch
I chose a brown corset with a skirt and my favorite green and black cowboy boots to go with the warm tones. This is a really comfy attire that is yet formal enough for brunch!
Look Three
Study Date
With the amount of work I generally have in college, I prefer to wear comfy attire. I kept it really casual and comfy by pairing it with all neutrals.
