Style Advice: Understand what looks good on your body. For years I struggled with my appearance and finding outfits that truly looked good on me. Over quarantine I took the time to really understand my body and what styles highlighted it. That completely changed the way that I dress. My personal style really just depends on whatever mood I am in that day.
Style Icon – Bella Hadid
I love her street wear and feel like she takes model off duty with a more elevated approach.
I chose this thrifted jacket because I love the intricate patchwork and color scheme. I would also say faux fur and faux feathers are a detail I love to include in my wardrobe, and I have been waiting for the perfect time to style this piece!
For this look I wanted to keep it classy as I was going to an art museum. I chose to pair my thrifted vintage patchwork jacket with a simple black turtleneck, black mini skirt, black tights, and my mom’s old DKNY nude purse. The jacket has a lot going on in it so I felt that to do an all black moment would help make the jacket pop.
I wanted to take a more comfortable approach with this look since I was going shopping that day. I paired the jacket with Lululemon leggings and workout top, a faux fur bucket hat that I found on facebook marketplace, my Doc Martens, and my coach purse that I received as a gift a few years ago. Being comfortable can still be stylish and I wanted this outfit to show that!
For this outfit I paired the vintage patchwork jacket with my mom’s burnt orange workout top, black biker shorts, white high socks, and my black platform converse. I was going for a stroll in my neighborhood with my brother and the thicker jacket with shorts was the perfect combination for the weather that day!
