Mozhdeh Matin X Plant the Future

We believe materials matter. Too often, beautiful designs are compromised by the use of synthetic materials that neither breathe well nor are kind to our bodies or the planet.
Mozhdeh Matin champions the use of natural fabrics and dyes, ensuring that every piece is as eco-friendly as it is elegant. For this summer editorial, we have paired Mozhdeh Matin’s looks with the living artistry of Plant the Future, creating a harmonious blend of fashion and nature. With nature in constant flux, it felt fitting to have dancers in motion as our models, embodying the fluidity and dynamism of the natural world. This editorial is less about selling and more about sharing a vision—one where fashion, nature, and movement beautifully coexist.

My favorite things in nature are textures, colors, smells and materiality because they make me feel alive and inspire my work.

I use natural fabrics because it makes me feel more connected to nature, is also kind to the body and is made well.

–Mozhdeh Matin

Born in Peru to Iranian parents, Mozhdeh Matin embodies a fusion of cultures reflected in her designs. Her aesthetic, a delicate balance of soothing chaos, is characterized by gentle silhouettes, surprising textures, and a sophisticated palette. What sets Matin apart is not just her creative vision but an unwavering commitment to sustainability and artisanal craftsmanship.

Plant The Future was established in 2008 by Paloma Teppa and Yair Marcoschamer in Miami’s Wynwood Art District as a Biophilic Art & Design Studio.
Biophilia, defined as the “love of life,” suggests our inherent inclination to seek connection with the vibrant natural world, leading to a sense of happiness and fulfillment.
Plant The Future is dedicated to manifesting this belief through the creation of sustainably produced Biophilic art and designer products, imbued with natural positive energy to strengthen the bond between individuals and nature.

Through movement I'm able to channel my energy and process my thoughts uniquely. Movement is innate and personal and it doesn't require any formal instruction which creates a sense of freedom that deeply resonates with me. Each moment of movement is a singular experience, impossible to be exactly replicated by oneself or another ever again. –Alyssa
