Super excited to share that GANNI has partnered wi Super excited to share that GANNI has partnered with Modern Synthesis, a biotechnology company at the forefront of sustainable material innovation, on a new version of their iconic Bou Bag.
Created with bacterial nanocellulose - a particularly strong and fine form of cellulose derived from bacterial fermentation - the featured biotextile is naturally animal and plastic free and offers a desirable alternative to virgin leathers and plastic-based synthetics. While it’s currently in a pilot stage they plan to have these ready for 2025. It’s this kind of innovation and commitment to the future of our planet that is necessary in the fashion industry. We applaud Ganni’s ongoing efforts and look forward to what they and Modern Synthesis do in the future.Read the entire article on No Kill Mag#modernsynthesis #ganni #gannilab #mmf23 #londondesignfestival #thefutureisaplaceweinvent #biomaterials #veganleather
#ICYMI between the Climate March and the madness t #ICYMI between the Climate March and the madness that is #NYFW there was one especially interesting innovation that happened at #eckhauslattaUnspun, our fave denim brand, collaborated with Eckhaus Latta on 4 styles of pants created from what they call "Vega" a proprietary 3-D weaving technology that can create pants on demand in a range of sizes. And can weave a pair in about 5 minutes with very little waste. While we'd like to see this taken to the next level and end-of-life of garments addressed, less waste in the beginning is a start. What do you think?
