The Badass Style of Willow Smith

When Willow Smith started hinting at a punk era, we couldn’t wait to hear what was coming. And she did not disappoint– her new album <lately I feel EVERYTHING> is on repeat (song rec: ¡BREAKOUT! feat. Cherry Glazerr). What we really love about this era though is the fashion–all the chains, plaid, platform boots and fearless energy. These are our favorite looks of Willow going full pop-punk, an era we hope stays a while.

The Transparent Soul Music Video

The leather jacket with the mutant rabbit on the back and the pleated skirt with a red painted face was only the beginning.

Willow Smith’s Alternative Press Cover

This magazine cover made it clear and simple: Willow has arrived and her new music will blow your mind…and maybe we’re wrong but this skirt looks like it’s from one of our fave upcycling brands Chopova Lowena! (seen HERE on Celeste -and here and here on No Kill!)

The Wait a Minute! Performance

This version is somehow even better than the original which seems impossible. Plus, this is our favorite y2k pop-punk Willow outfit.

At the end of the performance she gets a buzzcut on stage while playing guitar. Watch her whole Facebook Live concert here but find this insanely cool moment at the very end.

Willow for Billboard Magazine

This outfit feels like if Maddy from Euphoria went punk… which would be kind of amazing. We love it.

Willow BTS working with Avril Lavigne

To have a song with the 2000s pop punk legend herself is a kind of a flex.  Seriously though, go listen to Grow by Willow feat. Avril Lavigne & Travis Barker.
