Le Grá ón Iarthar
A fashion story from Mayo and Sligo, styled entirely with pre-loved clothing sourced from local charity shops and second-hand sellers.

Why isn’t the west of Ireland recognised as a hub for sustainable fashion? That question brought Mayo-based stylist Maureen McAndrew and Sligo-based photographer Tara Timlin together.
With Love from the West pairs pre-loved fashion with the rugged coastlines, quiet roads and Atlantic skies of Ireland’s western edge. Every garment featured in the series was sourced from local charity shops and second-hand sellers, extending the life of existing clothing while celebrating the creativity found within local communities.

Part love letter to place and part invitation to reconsider how we dress, the project looks beyond labels and trend cycles to the beauty and value already around us. Here, circular fashion is not presented as a compromise, but as a source of character, possibility and timeless style.

What if the most stylish wardrobe was already waiting to be discovered in a local charity shop?
