5 DIY face masks using ingredients at home

Are you wanting to have a self-care night but have no face masks at home? Chilling in your cupboards and in your pantry waiting to fulfill your skin care needs are all the ingredients you could need for a great face mask.

Whether you have acne prone skin or need a mask to brighten your dull skin, No Kill has you covered with only 3 ingredients per mask that you have lying around the house (one of them simply being honey and who doesn’t have honey in their home?!). Be sure to apply any of these with a fresh, clean face for the best results!

Acne

Ingredients:

  • 1 TBS honey

  • 1 TBS apple cider vinegar

  • 1 TSP baking soda

Acne does not discriminate. All ages, races, genders can be prone to acne unfortunately. If you don’t want to spend the big bucks on acne products, you can pull 3 ingredients from your pantry and get to your pamper session! Honey is a natural antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory ingredient so, perfect for acne-prone skin. To add to the antibacterial properties of this mask, apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid which is known for its antifungal and antibacterial benefits.

Mix all 3 ingredients together in a small bowl. Apply a thin layer to your face and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse after the 15 minutes is up and feel how amazing your skin feels. To get the best results, repeat 2-3 times a week!

Dry skin

Ingredients:

  • 1 TBS honey

  • 1/8 avocado

  • 1/8 banana

With the cold winter weather comes dry skin for a lot of us. Avocado and banana are known for their hydrating purposes, however, and can be used to combat the dry texture on your face. An added bonus to this mask is that it smells amazing too! Try not to lick it off LOL.

Mash up the avocado and banana until it’s a smooth paste. Then, mix all 3 ingredients together in a small bowl. Apply a thin layer to your face and leave on for 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes is up, wipe it off with a damp washcloth and enjoy your silky-smooth and hydrated skin. To get the best results, repeat 2-3 times a week!


 

Oily skin

Ingredients:

  • 1 TBS honey

  • 1 TSP turmeric

  • 1 TSP cinnamon

For all you oily skinned babes out there, we have the perfect mask for you, sure to soak up any oil you may be battling with. This mask, in particular, also doubles to prevent acne. A 2-for-1 deal!

Cinnamon helps your skin look plumper and more even toned and turmeric contains many antioxidants that helps your skin glow.

Mix all components together, apply on a clean face for 15 minutes and rinse when the time is up for a refreshed complexion. To get the best results, repeat 2-3 times a week!

Anti-aging

Ingredients:

  • 1 TBS honey

  • 1 TBS Greek yogurt

  • 3 drops of lavender essential oil

Combating aging skin can start at any age. With the antibacterial properties of honey, the cooling effect of Greek yogurt and the anti-aging benefits of lavender essential oils, you have an all in one deal. Want to get the spa treatment without the hassle of traveling there and the big dollar sign? Try this mask instead!

Mix the 3 ingredients together in a small bowl. Apply to your face and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse or wipe off with a washcloth when the time is up!


 

Brightening

  • 1 TBS honey

  • 1/8 avocado

  • 1 TBS ground oatmeal

Nobody wants dull-looking skin. A healthy, radiant, bright glow is mother nature’s best gift. Bring out your skin’s natural glow by trying out this DIY mask. Oatmeal is a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory which helps combat the dull look skin can sometimes get.

Mash up the avocado, grind your oatmeal and combine these two ingredients with honey to get your perfect brightening mask. Leave on your clean face for as long as desired and rinse or wipe clean when you’re ready! Use this on a consistent basis and we guarantee you’ll see a change in your skin.
