Jeans with an elastic waist are something we associate with very young children. Like the 5 and under set. Not something we’ve ever aspired to dress like. But we have to admit we’re just a little bit obsessed with this new design by Erin Beatty of Rentrayage.
We love wide leg jeans and the cut of the Silverlake Jean is unique. Because of the light gathering at the waist it doesn’t start out super fitted on top but fits like your fave comfy sweats – only cuter. And the cropped length balances the width to be a wide leg you can easily wear with your favorite summer flat sandals.
And, being Rentrayage, we can feel good knowing they’re ethically made. Silverlake jeans are made from both locally sourced stock and deadstock denim andhand sewn in L.A. Their ozone stone wash is 100% environmentally safe and requires only a ½ cup of water per pants and there are no toxic dyes.
