The name says it all. Watch the video. Make your own assessment. We applaud Taymour’s commitment to addressing climate change and the anti-fashion way she approaches her collection.

Art can express when words fail.⁣ To say I adore Art can express when words fail.⁣
To say I adore @MarilynMinter and her work would be an understatement.⁣
In May she tweeted out stills from this video My Cunt-ry 'Tis of Thee (2018) and hash-tagged #protectabortionaccess.⁣
These images show the sentence 'My Cuntry Tis of Thee' 'Our Cunt-ry Needs You!' and the phrase 'No Cunt-ry for Old Men' with a cross through it, written in condensation on glass.⁣
⁣
Since then she continues to speak out on abortion rights. AND the importance of VOTING.⁣
Repost from #marilyminter wihich is a Repost from @jeannegr⁣
•⁣
Oklahoma lawmakers led by the repugnant (R) Gov. Kevin Stitt- father of girls, gave final approval to the Texas-style bill banning all abortions beginning at fertilization. Even in rape.⁣
⁣
When he signs- this will be the most restrictive abortion law in the U.S. Stitt denies that 51% of Oklahoma support abortion and upholding #roevwade⁣
⁣
This is part of a state-by-state push by the GOP.⁣
Oklahoma's near-total ban encourages private citizens to sue anyone suspected of helping a person get an abortion.⁣
⁣
The measure, H.B. 4327, incentivizes citizens to sue anyone who "performs or induces" or "aids of abets the performance" of an abortion. People can also be sued if they "[intend] to engage" in those actions, but haven't yet done so.⁣
Citizens would be “awarded” at least $10,000 for successfully suing an abortion provider.⁣
The law could affect embryos created through the IVF process and some forms of birth control.⁣
⁣
The bill bars those who are sued from arguing the law is unconstitutional as a defense in court.⁣

When you wake up and try to put a spin on things b When you wake up and try to put a spin on things but finally have to acknowledge your feeling of grief laced with anger... how are you all doing today?⁣
⁣
We're resharing some thoughts from @the_therapy_notebook (+see slide 4) that might be helpful⁣
"Therapy is political because we do not exist in a bubble and politics affect our wellbeing. Political decisions impact our mental health and the way we survive. These decisions exacerbate stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma.⁣
⁣
Examples of self-care:⁣
• Designating times in the day when you get informed and stay updated on the news so you aren’t doing it for hours on end⁣
• Taking breaks⁣
• Ensuring that you eat, sleep, drink water (set reminders if needed)⁣
• Meditate and breathe⁣
• Move your body⁣
• Journal what your feeling or action steps you’ll take⁣
• Have a therapy session⁣
⁣
Community care⁣
• Reach out to loved ones⁣
• Do kind gestures for others in your community⁣
• Share resources⁣
• Go to a protest and make connections⁣
• Talk about what’s happening and organize or meet for dinner and don’t talk about it at all⁣
⁣
Remember to take care of yourself and feel what you’re feeling. If you aren’t feeling anything because you’re emotionally exhausted or numb, that’s ok too."

To me plastic is a gift. It is available and I view it this way with a passion,” explains Otieno.

Here, her and her team have collaborated with Kristin Lee-Moolman and Louise Ford to create a photographic series and film, supported by the ERE Foundation and supported and produced by Farago Projects.

"Don't explain the thing. Just do the thing and then they'll be able to see the thing –making explaining anything unnecessary" @glennondoyle

Especially good reminder for women who have been conditioned by society to think they need to justify their wants/desires/ambitions.

No explanation necessary.
